Stacey Barrett rmt.
Having graduated from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in
1993, Stacey first registered as a massage therapist in Ontario the same year.
In 1995 Stacey moved out to Alberta to do some traveling & explore the world of "Spa" and was the first and head therapist at the beautiful Spa at the Banff Springs Hotel.
After 5 years in the spa industry, Stacey realized that relaxation massage was just not her cup of tea & was offered a job teaching at the Foothills College of Massage Therapy in Calgary Alberta, which has since become affiliated with The Canadian College of Massage (CCMH) and West Coast College of Massage (WCCMT)
In 2004 Stacey then re-registered in Ontario, having missed the beauty & especially the stunning vision of
Georgian Bay in Ontario, She made her way back to settle
down & work within her chosen profession in the Town of Parry Sound.
Stacey is a member in good standing with The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
On a personal note she took up triathlons in 2004 as a way to lose weight after an extreme hypothyroid condition. After a life time of different activities including karate, synchronized swimming, running, x country skiing, mountain biking etc, triathlons became a fantastic hobby & great way to meet fantastic local people around the Parry Sound area. Stacey also continues to spin, yoga, x-country ski & mountain bike on a regular basis.
Stacey's future plans include becoming certified to teach spinning, becoming certified as a personal training & currently brainstorming on a new local club called "The First 10 pounds, Boot Camp" in which people who are new to fitness, shy or overweight can learn about different avenues to them for fitness in the Parry Sound area...we will explore yoga, triathlons, swimming, road cycling, mountain biking, x country skiing, plyometrics, weight training, physio balls & bands. There will also be a weekly weigh in & diet discussion in which we will explore many avenues of diet & nutrition...Return here to read more towards the end of the summer.
Stacey LOVES her job & it shows. Result oriented. If you are not seeing or feeling improvements, then Stacey will brainstorm to find other ways to get the results you want. Whether that means through different aspects of massage or referring you out for chiropractic, acupuncture, Ultrasound, TENS, matrix re-patterning or even back to your own Doctor. YOU matter here.
